Submissions

Submissions are read year-round. The Tipton Poetry Journal is published quarterly both in-print and online versions.

The Tipton Poetry Journal publishes about 35 poems each issue and submissions are read throughout the year. Poems with the best chance for acceptance are quality free verse which evokes a shared sense of common humanity. The Tipton Poetry Journal is published in Indiana, so themes with a regional focus are encouraged. However, less than one-fourth of our contributors are from Indiana with a few from outside the United States.

Book Reviews

Tipton Poetry Journal publishes occasional reviews of books written by previous Tipton Poetry Journal contributors.

If you have been previously published in the Tipton Poetry Journal (or know someone who has) and have a recent book to be considered for review, please send an email with book details to bookreviews@tiptonpoetryjournal.com. Please let us know the following: (1) Author (2) Title (3) Publication Date and, if possible, a link to information about the book.

If you are a book reviewer and would like to review books for the the Tipton Poetry Journal please send an email to bookreviews@tiptonpoetryjournal.com and include a sample book review as an attachment or a link.

Please note that only a very few books will be selected for review and must be recent titles by past TPJ contributors.
